Dec. 16 Class

In this class, we continued watching the movie. And today's main focus was medicare system in America. I really shocked by doctor's attitude toward patients who cannot pay money. How do they feel or what do they think when they abandon to continue the cure? Impossible. But, they have their own life and should earn money. So we cannot make a sweeping judgment about whether they are right or wrong. Maybe some of them are also suffering from the situation. My opinion is that government should pay money for medicare systems more. Of course, medicare system needs a lot of money, so maybe tax paying will be expensive, but I think it is OK when the tax is used in appropriate way. In fact, some country did have such system I mentioned, like France appeared in the movie. I wonder how many people disagree to such mutual support system.

Dec. 15 Tut

In this tutorial, we learned some useful functions of Google searching, and downloaded Portable Fire fox.
Until now, I don't like using computer so much because I couldn't make it useful for me. The items introduced in the tutorial will be a help when I do homework, writing essays, and of course whenever I want to know something. In order to use computer comfortably, carrying portable Firefox set for me in USB is very good idea.

Dec. 14 Class

First of all I'm sorry for my absence on Friday.
In this class, we watch the movie filmed by Michael Moore. The topic was American insurance corporations. I knew the structure of how such corporations made money, I was surprised with the real situation. It is awful! Isn't it? But I think there are many people who are suffering from the situation and want to change. All we college students can do is to know the circumstance as far as possible.

Dec. 9 class

In this class, we discussed the priority of helping people kept in mine.
I made the order according to health condition, age and sex. It was very good oppotunity to think of my sense of value. And teather Rab said we should be a clitical thinker. I thought it is another thing we should think. I thought I should only think of the priority. But, after hearin Rab's concept of the critical thinker, I thought we should think both critical and limited thing like, this issue of mine, priority.

Dec. 7 class

In this class, we defined what bioethics is, and discussed the issues of bioethics. There were, for example, cloning, GM food , designed baby, suicide and so on. Then everyone made priority. My ranking was that; 1.abortion 2. euthanasia 3.transplant 4. surrogacy. First two issues are related to death, rather than life. In addition when abortion is done, there is no possibility to be considered for the will of baby in the womb. So I put it at the vary first. Then transplant and surrogacy is related to life, rather than death. And again there is, not always but often, will of patient when transplant is done. That's why I made my ranking like above mentioned.
Also it was interesting for me to demonstrate the actual condition of Japanese medical system. I think Japanese government should provide more social insurance.

Zotera is maybe useful for us when writing an essay, but it is a little difficult for me...
